Hello Kulture Kids and welcome back for Issue 4 of the Digest!
This month’s issue is about our contributors’ favourite things – from conducting oral histories in war zones, catching the travel bug, or connecting to your culture through food and the kitchen, what inspires you? What reaches in and stokes the fires of your passion? One theme that comes through with all of our contributors this month, is that their favourite things – the things they’re passionate about most – often come at risks, at costs, but ultimately have been able to provide answers they might not have known they were even searching for.
We’re very excited to have our first Instgram take-over this weekend, covering the New Librarians Symposium #NLS8, happening here in Canberra. The wonderful Liv Alvey who is attending the conference will be manning our Instgram account @kultkids so we definitely recommend you follow our account to get the scoop from Liv!
If you’d like to guest-star with an Instagram take-over of our account, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
Next month’s issue is The Crystal Ball: Hopes and Fears for the Future and will be all about where GLAM is going as an industry – what are we hoping for, changing for, and what fears we might be able to address. If you’d like to contribute to this issue, get in contact with us via the Digest, our Facebook page, Instagram and our email; firstname.lastname@example.org by 30 June 2017.
